Hi Kim, Can you send me recommendations for a nursing mom of a 3-month-old baby, please? The mom is nursing just fine but has noticed less milk lately. It’s not an emergency but she would like to boost her supply. I’m thinking Chaste Tree and mammary but wasn’t sure about how many.
Some women, as much as they want to, aren’t unable to breastfeed or have a difficult time with lactation. Multiple factors are involved including breast reduction surgery, insulin resistance, pharmaceuticals that medications that interfere with milk production, and hormonal fluctuations.
One of the most important and often overlooked- hormones is Prolactin, the pituitary hormone that supplies breast milk. Stress is one of the biggest factors that creates an imbalance of Prolactin. In “stressed out” breastfeeding women, prolactin levels are lower than needed, thus increasing breast tenderness and affecting milk supply.
If you, patients, or a loved one are having this issue, here’s the ‘golden key’ to help unlock milk production:
Standard Process Pituitrophin PMG (6 daily on empty stomach-best taken at night on empty stomach). The pituitary has influence over many functions including growth hormone, breast milk production, and healing of inflammatory processes-with a direct influence on the thyroid, adrenals, ovaries, testes, kidneys, and breasts. Pituitrophin PMG enhances the balance of the Pituitary Gland and its related hormone Prolactin- for providing proper breast milk production.
