Upcoming Standard Process CEU Events

The discovery of insulin at the University of Toronto in 1921-22 was one of the most dramatic events in the history of the treatment of disease. Insulin’s impact was so sensational because of the incredible effect it had on diabetic patients. As late as the 1920s, diabetes was effectively a death verdict: without insulin, sugar levels would only keep increasing, which would ultimately lead to death. The only protection was to stop food consumption.

Diabetic patients who were originally starved, and many times comatose- would receive insulin and miraculously return to life! Insulin was regarded as one of the genuine miracles of modern medicine- dubbed ‘the elixir of life’. Michael Bliss who is the author of the book named The Discovery of Insulin has named it as ‘close to the resurrection’ as medicine has ever come.

In the 21st century, we have a different battle that of Insulin resistance. Insulin resistance syndrome includes a group of problems like obesity, high blood pressure, high cholesterol, and type 2 diabetes. It could affect as many as 1 in 3 Americans. You might also hear it called metabolic syndrome.

We’d love to have you at either or both of these events.
