As practitioners, we have many tools in our toolbox to help ignite the Innate Healing Wisdom of our patients/clients. But what if you had all of the clear answers but couldn’t deliver the protocol?
GET CREATIVE!! Here’s how Dawna takes a different approach.
I was talking to Kim Sperry about a complicated case I was working on with a young lady with brain cancer. She’s on board with the diet and lifestyle changes, and muscle tested really well for three products.
But there was one very big obstacle. She cannot swallow pills. At all.
That was a bit of a deal-breaker, so I decided to get creative! I made a Calamari Turmeric Paste for her. It turned out AWFUL! I thought it was the most disgusting thing I’ve ever tasted, and I was mortified that I had wasted 3 bottles of amazing product!
Turns out that it wasn’t what my body needed, but for her it was amazing! She said it was ‘strong’, but had no problem eating 1 generous teaspoon of the concoction 3 times per day.
I guess the moral of the story is don’t worry about what the obstacle is, move through it! Remember, you are an advocate for your patient/clients’ best interests, and you will find a way. Don’t be afraid to explore!

Standard Process Calamari Oil
Medi Herb Boswellia Complex – 120 tabs
Medi Herb Turmeric Forte
I used a magic bullet and combined all 3 of these ingredients until it made a smooth yellow paste. I stored it in an amber glass container and instructed her to keep refrigerated.
