Say Goodbye to Histamine Intolerance with HistaQuel
When we hear “histamine” we automatically think of allergy symptoms: stuffy nose, watery eyes, and congestion. However, these aren’t the only things related to Histamine. Histamine excess can contribute to a lot of other symptoms including:
- Anxiety- histamine affects GABA, dopamine and serotonin levels in the brain1
- Diarrhea
- Digestive issues including GERD- some types of antacids work by acting as anti-histamines!
- Eczema/Hives
- Migraine headaches- potentially due to Mast cells in the brain being activated2
- Motion Sickness
- Post nasal drip
- Sleep issues- Strong and consistent evidence suggests that histamine plays a pivotal role in the regulation of sleep-wakefulness. Administration of histamine or H₁ receptor agonists (histamine stimulator) induces wakefulness, whereas administration of H₁ receptor antagonists promotes sleep.3
Histamine is released from multiple locations in response to pain, digestion, and as an allergic reaction. Sometimes, the body doesn’t break down histamine properly, which results in persistent inflammation. This can lead to a variety of conditions- including the above-mentioned and Mast Cell Activation Syndrome.
Unintended consequences of OTC Anti-histamines-Erectile dysfunction due to histamine blockers preventing blood vessels from dilating. Arrhythmia/tachycardia, nausea, headaches, C. Diff, bone pain, Osteoporosis, blurred vision, and B 12 deficiency are also side effects. Faune Towery, L.Ac. in Napa has a suggestion for a product that only has powerfully positive effects- and in only 2 or 3 capsules!
Here’s another HistaQuel love story from one of our NDs in Santa Rosa. Their office uses it for post covid histamine issues/allergies. They had a patient with chronic post-nasal drip for 25 years and had tried multiple products with mixed results. With only 2 HistaQuel per day, it’s completely gone and he’s not snoring anymore.
One last tidbit on HistaQuel- it induces apoptosis!! One of the herbs-Fisetin clears sentient (aging cells that don’t die). Apoptosis is critical to rid the body of cells that have been damaged beyond repair but haven’t as of yet been cleared from the body.
Try it, you’re going to love it,
Kim
